    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of Room Attendants, House Attendants, and Public Area Attendants during assigned shifts.

    • Conduct daily room inspections to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to brand standards.

    • Assign and review daily room allocations and task sheets for attendants.

    • Check vacant, occupied, and departure rooms, ensuring readiness for guest arrivals.

    • Monitor guest requests and ensure they are attended to promptly (via HotSOS or Opera).

    • Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering departments for room status updates and maintenance issues.

    • Handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures.

    Team Supervision & Training

    • Guide, train, and motivate housekeeping team members to deliver excellent guest service.

    • Conduct on-the-job training for new staff on cleaning standards, safety, and procedures.

    • Monitor staff performance, grooming, and discipline during the shift.

    • Assist in preparing duty rosters, leave schedules, and attendance records.

    Guest Interaction

    • Handle guest requests, complaints, or feedback in a courteous and efficient manner.

    • Follow up on guest preferences and special arrangements to enhance satisfaction.

    • Ensure VIP and special request rooms are checked and prepared as per standards.

    Administrative Duties

    • Maintain housekeeping reports such as daily room status, discrepancy reports, and inspection checklists.

    • Update system records (Opera/HotSOS) and communicate with the Front Office regarding room readiness.

    • Track linen, amenities, and housekeeping supplies; report shortages to the supervisor.

    • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and report defects immediately.

    Health, Safety & Standards

    • Ensure compliance with hotel health, safety, and hygiene policies.

    • Conduct regular checks of fire exits, corridors, and storerooms for safety compliance.

    • Support sustainability and energy-saving initiatives within the department.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

    • Minimum 2–3 years of housekeeping experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader role.

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficient in MS Office, Opera PMS systems.

    • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages (Russian, German, Italian) is an advantage.
