Job Summary:
The Commis II works under the supervision of senior kitchen staff to assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with Aloft Abu Dhabi’s culinary standards. This role focuses on maintaining consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in food preparation while supporting the kitchen team in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs in preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.

  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

  • Support the kitchen team in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.

  • Participate in team briefings and training sessions to improve skills and efficiency.

  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items during service periods.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
