Assistant Sales Manager – Bay La Sun Hotel & Marina

The Assistant Sales Manager supports the Sales Manager in driving hotel revenue by assisting in business development, client management, and sales strategy execution. This role helps maximize room occupancy, group bookings, and event sales while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Support

  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event organizers.

  • Support the Sales Manager in maintaining relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients.

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Support the implementation of sales plans to achieve revenue targets.

  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Marketing teams to optimize pricing, packages, and promotions.

  • Assist in preparing sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for management review.

Client Relations & Coordination

  • Assist in organizing client meetings, presentations, and site inspections.

  • Support contract negotiations and follow up on agreements to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Handle inquiries, proposals, and bookings for corporate, leisure, and group clients.

Event & Group Sales

  • Coordinate with the Events and Banquet team to manage group bookings and event arrangements.

  • Assist in managing room blocks, conference packages, and special rates.

  • Track and report on group and corporate sales performance metrics.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the sales team and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Assist in training and guiding junior sales staff if required.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Customer service and client relationship management abilities

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask

  • Knowledge of hotel PMS, CRM, and sales software

  • Analytical skills for tracking sales performance and market trends

  • Goal-oriented, proactive, and results-driven

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred

  • 2–4 years of experience in hotel sales, reservations, or related roles

  • Experience in 4- or 5-star hotels preferred

  • Familiarity with corporate, MICE, and leisure market segments
