Your day- to -day
- Drive Total Revenue (short- and long-term room revenue) by proactively selling to new, existing, and prospective customers in alignment with the sales strategy, negotiating optimal rates to benefit the business.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with in-house guests, tracking all required extensions and ensuring all long-term guests have valid contracts in place as per hotel policy.
- Ensure timely follow-up on invoicing, payments, and the overall billing process in accordance with internal procedures.
- Monitor market pricing trends for both hotel apartments and residential units to remain competitive and responsive to changes.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the business model, brand positioning, market dynamics, client segments, industry exhibitions, and relevant geographical markets.
- Effectively utilise IHG-approved sales systems and tools such as IBP, Delphi, I-RFP, IHG Merlin, IHG Sales Source, SSP, and IHG Business Club to drive efficiency and ensure transparency in processes.
- Engage regularly with clients through scheduled meetings, site inspections, networking events, and other touchpoints to strengthen relationships and secure new business.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, including corporates, travel agents, event planners, and key market sectors.
- Develop and maintain a robust database of leads, prospects, and client contacts to support strategic sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to design and execute impactful sales strategies that meet or exceed defined KPIs.
- Generate new business through proactive outreach including cold calls, referrals, and participation in industry-related events.
- Lead site visits and hotel tours, effectively presenting the hotel’s offerings, services, and brand values.
- Contribute to the creation of tailored sales proposals, packages, and promotional campaigns that align with IHG standards and resonate with target audiences.
- Negotiate and secure contracts with a customer-centric approach, ensuring commercially beneficial outcomes for all parties.
- Build and sustain long-term client relationships that result in customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, customer expectations, and competitor activity to support ongoing innovation and performance enhancement.
- Foster internal communication by sharing market intelligence and updates to ensure alignment, collaboration, and effective sales planning across departments.
What we need from you
- A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in the service or hospitality industry, ideally in Sales &Marketing or a related commercial function.
- A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and results-driven mindset with an eye for quality and customer focus.
- Self-motivated, organised, and collaborative, with a team-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to nurture lasting professional relationships.
- Ambition to grow and eagerness to learn within a global hospitality environment.
- Sound judgement and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make considered decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IHG sales tools.
