About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff and ensure adherence to standards and procedures
- Participate in daily meetings with senior chefs to discuss menus and operational plans
- Support menu and recipe planning, including testing samples and maintaining accurate specifications
- Monitor and maintain cooking standards, correcting methods when necessary to ensure quality
- Plan and review staff rosters, manage overtime, holidays, and absenteeism in coordination with senior chefs
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by liaising with the Chief Steward and enforcing standards
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience a five-star international chain in Europe and Asia in a position of Chef De Partie
- Completed kitchen apprentice or chef’s training for at least one year
- Sound knowledge about all kinds of cooking techniques and methods
- Proficiency in English
