Assistant Restaurant Manager – Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers – Dubai

Job Summary:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, and adherence to operational standards. This role requires leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to step in whenever necessary to maintain service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Support:

    • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination.

    • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.

    • Monitor workflow to maintain efficient service.

  2. Team Leadership & Staff Support:

    • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff.

    • Help prepare staff schedules and manage attendance.

    • Provide coaching and guidance to team members to maintain high performance.

  3. Customer Service:

    • Ensure guests receive exceptional service.

    • Handle guest complaints or feedback promptly and professionally.

    • Maintain strong guest relations and enhance guest satisfaction.

  4. Financial & Inventory Assistance:

    • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control.

    • Support the Restaurant Manager in monitoring budgets and controlling costs.

    • Help prepare reports on sales, labor, and performance metrics.

  5. Marketing & Promotion Support:

    • Support promotional campaigns, events, and special offers.

    • Contribute ideas to increase guest engagement and revenue.

  6. Compliance & Administration:

    • Ensure all staff adhere to restaurant policies and procedures.

    • Maintain records related to staff, operations, and guest feedback.

    • Assist in ensuring compliance with licensing, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role in restaurants or hotels.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, and service standards.

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and resolve issues efficiently.
