Bartender – Job Description

A Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. The role requires a strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and guest preferences.

• Greet guests courteously and take drink orders efficiently.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards.

• Check identification to verify guests meet legal drinking age requirements.

• Upsell beverages and promote signature cocktails or specials.

• Handle cash, credit transactions, and maintain accurate billing.

• Monitor guest behavior and report any issues to the supervisor or manager.

• Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed.

• Support the service team and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant, or lounge.

• Excellent knowledge of mixology, wines, and spirits.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Attention to detail and a well-groomed appearance.

• Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.

• Fluent in English (additional languages such as Arabic, Russian, or Italian are an advantage).

• Valid alcohol handling certification preferred.
