Position Summary:
Palazzo Versace Hotel is seeking a skilled and professional Bartender to join the team at La Vita Restaurant & Bar. This role is essential in providing exceptional beverage service in a chic and vibrant environment characterized by luxurious leather and matelassé textile upholstery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of mixology, an appreciation for boutique wines, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation and Service:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of innovative cocktails, wines, and other beverages in accordance with La Vita’s high standards.
- Ensure accuracy in drink preparation, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
Guest Interaction:
- Provide attentive and personalized service to all guests, engaging with them to enhance their experience at La Vita.
- Proactively address guest inquiries and requests, ensuring satisfaction and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing beverages and supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records to ensure efficient stock management.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations, maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines and monitor guest consumption to ensure a safe environment.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service and a positive work environment.
- Support the General Manager and Assistant Manager in training new staff members on beverage service standards and procedures.
Promotional Activities:
- Participate in the creation and execution of beverage promotions and special events to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
- Stay informed about current trends in mixology and beverage offerings to contribute to the development of the bar menu.
Job requirements
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a luxury hotel or upscale dining establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology, wine, and spirits, with a passion for delivering exceptional beverage service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
