Position Summary:
The Commis 1 – Pastry assists in the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and bakery items. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and adherence to hygiene and quality standards to ensure an exceptional dining experience for guest
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, desserts, and bakery products as per recipes and presentation standards.

Assist in menu development by suggesting new ideas and seasonal creations.

Ensure all products are prepared on time and meet quality expectations.

Maintain proper storage and labeling of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP).

Support the Pastry Chef and team in daily mise-en-place and section setup.

Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and equipment functionality.

Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the pastry kitchen.

Report any equipment issues or ingredient shortages to the supervisor.

Uphold hotel grooming standards and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, specializing in Pastry & Bakery.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.

Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry production, and dessert presentation.
-
Creativity, passion for pastry, and attention to detail.
-
Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety practices.
