Commis 1 – SAL Kitchen – Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Abu Dhabi

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commis I to join Jumeirah Saadiyat Island.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Document inventory of kitchen supplies, and notifying supervisors of low stock situations
• Able to operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers etc. Effectively able to set cooking and baking temperatures in a proper manner
• Adept at performing food rotation tasks, to ensure ingredient freshness
• Excellent knowledge of Setting-up the station with par stocks of menu items and carry out all food preparation tasks given by the Demi Chef | Chef De Partie designated for that station
• Possess knowledge of cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and a la carte cooking etc.
• Proficient knowledge of replenishing service lines, restocks, and prepares the workstation for the next shift

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 2+ year of experience in a range of kitchen areas; ideally within the luxury hospitality industry.
• Proven commercial kitchen experience.
