About The Job
An opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef De Partie to join Shimmers Culinary in Jumeirah Mina Al Salam. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
- Execute orders accurately as directed by the Chef de Partie, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed according to daily operational requirements and recipe standards.
- Prepare daily requisitions for wine, dry store, food items, and kitchen transfers with proper approval to maintain effective stock rotation within the section.
- Ensure consistent high standards of food quality by following portion control, quantity specifications, and approved recipes while staying updated on new products and preparation techniques.
- Organize mise-en-place and service shifts in coordination with the Chef de Partie, ensuring efficient kitchen operations and smooth service delivery.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards, ensuring all designated areas, equipment, and utensils are properly organized and compliant.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team by attending daily briefings, reviewing updates on functions and events, and supporting coordinated execution of banquets and service requirements.
About You
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Diploma or certification from an accredited culinary school, with completion of a kitchen apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong passion for quality and cooking with sound knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
- Good understanding of hygiene, health, and safety standards, with adaptability to diverse cultures and team environments.
- Minimum of 2 years’ kitchen experience, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, high energy levels, and strong customer service orientation.
