Description
As a Head Bartender you are responsible to provide professional service to our Guests. Preparing and serving beverages such as mocktails, cocktails, hard drinks, soft drinks and specialty beverages. To explain the menu items to our Guests, and to ensure that they are comfortable and satisfied. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Supervising the daily bar operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Leading, training, and motivating the bar team to maintain IHG service standards.
- Overseeing drink preparation and presentation to guarantee consistent quality.
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Welcoming guests warmly, recommending beverages, explaining menus, and ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Crafting high-quality beverages including cocktails, mocktails, spirits, and specialty drinks.
- Managing guest feedback and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitoring inventory levels, placing requisitions, and managing stock rotation.
- Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation of the bar area and equipment.
- Enhancing displays and bar setups to elevate guest engagement.
- Introducing new beverage ideas, improving recipes, and supporting promotional activities.
- Working closely with the F&B leadership team to ensure smooth restaurant and bar operations.
- Training junior bartenders on mixology techniques, beverage knowledge, and guest service.
- Ensuring all team members follow service procedures and safety standards.
Ideally, you’ll have a minimum of 1- 2 years’ experience in the similar role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along with being quality oriented with focus on details, high performance standards, able to multi-task & meet deadlines and technical proficiency in related software preferable.
