About The Role
The Lead Counselor is responsible to interact with all guests from children to adults and maintain a fun, safe and secure environment for colleagues and guests. Person in this role will act as role model and mentor to other Counselors, take care of the new joiners induction experience and assist with developing colleagues. Lead Counselor will be trained and knowledgeable in emergency procedures, hygiene standards, pediatric First Aid and overall incident and emergencies handling. Thorough knowledge of all children activities and facilities not only within the Explorers Club but around the entire resort is necessary. As Lead Counselor you will lead all specialist activities such as: Cooking Classes, STEM activities, Team Building, Active Sports, and themed special events as well as serve as the face of the program and actively look for ways to enhance guests perception and involvement.
About You
We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years’ experience leading large groups of children who possess naturally outgoing personality and passion for engaging children in entertaining activities. Being able to diplomatically and efficiently respond to guest complaints and communicate in a confident and professional manner with all levels of the organization are necessary to succeed in this role. Qualifications in Childcare are necessary for Lead Counselor roles, while any qualification in sports/leisure/recreation are a plus.
