Waiter / Waitress – Job Description

A Waiter or Waitress is responsible for providing exceptional dining service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The role requires a courteous attitude, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to create a welcoming and efficient service environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival.

• Present menus, explain daily specials, and make recommendations when requested.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.

• Serve meals and drinks efficiently and ensure presentation meets brand standards.

• Check on guest satisfaction during service and handle any requests or complaints professionally.

• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.

• Process guest payments accurately and maintain billing records.

• Follow hygiene, safety, and grooming standards at all times.

• Work closely with team members and support overall restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a hotel or restaurant preferred.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment.

• Positive attitude and professional appearance.

• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic, Russian, or German are a plus.

• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
