Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
Present menus, explain specials, and make recommendations when required.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar promptly.
Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring correct presentation and portioning.
Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally.
Operations:
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.
Ensure that all areas are clean, well-organized, and ready for service.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Upselling & Sales:
Suggestively sell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
Inform guests about promotions, events, and specialty dishes.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for timely service.
Assist colleagues during busy hours to maintain smooth operations.
Cash Handling:
Process guest bills accurately and handle payments according to hotel standards.
What we need from you
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; F&B training is an advantage.
Experience: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel or restaurant preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays/plates.
