Job Summary: Assistant Banquet Manager

The Assistant Banquet Manager is responsible for assisting the Banquet Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising banquet operations. This includes overseeing staff performance, ensuring consistent adherence to service standards, and maintaining operational excellence for events, conferences, weddings, and private functions.

The role requires a hands-on approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with culinary, service, and events teams to guarantee seamless execution. Fluency in English is essential, while additional language skills, such as Russian or Arabic, are advantageous.


Key Responsibilities – Assistant Banquet Manager

  • Assist the Banquet Manager in supervising daily banqueting operations and ensuring all service standards are met.

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor banquet staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events, including corporate functions, weddings, and social celebrations, ensuring exceptional service quality.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to synchronize food delivery and service timing for all banquet events.

  • Monitor staff schedules, rotations, and attendance, ensuring proper coverage for all events.

  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across banquet and F&B areas.

  • Prepare and manage inventory of banquet supplies, tableware, and service equipment, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.

  • Conduct briefings with the team before events to communicate guest requirements, special instructions, and operational updates.

  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally, escalating when necessary.

  • Assist in budgeting and cost control measures for banqueting operations.

  • Support internal audits, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and luxury service standards.

  • Implement innovative service strategies to enhance guest experiences during events and banquets.

  • Participate in staff training sessions, ensuring team members remain up-to-date with service protocols and luxury standards.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams for event promotions, site inspections, and guest engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure smooth execution of setup and teardown for all events, including table arrangements, décor, and service stations.

Qualifications & Experience Required – Assistant Banquet Manager

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a five-star or luxury hotel.
