Bartender – W Muscat is a key role in delivering exceptional beverage experiences and luxury hospitality. As a Bartender, you will create, serve, and present beverages to guests while providing memorable service that aligns with W Hotels’ high standards. About the Role
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining bar inventory, and ensuring a safe and inviting atmosphere for guests. You will collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage team, provide recommendations to guests, and contribute to an energetic and welcoming environment.
This role requires a combination of technical skills, customer focus, and professionalism, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to W Muscat recipes and standards.

Greet guests warmly and provide personalized service to enhance the guest experience.

Make recommendations based on guest preferences, menu pairings, or seasonal specialties.

Maintain high standards of beverage presentation, taste, and consistency.

Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to inquiries or complaints.
Operational Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, and equipment.

Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and stock rotation.

Ensure all beverages are stored, handled, and served in compliance with health and safety standards.

Assist with bar opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and end-of-day reports.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods and special events.
Teamwork & Professionalism

Work closely with the F&B team, servers, and management to deliver seamless service.

Participate in training programs and development initiatives.

Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Assist in mentoring new bar staff on procedures, standards, and guest engagement.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations regarding alcohol service.

Follow W Hotels’ safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or incidents promptly.

Monitor responsible alcohol consumption and ensure a safe environment for all guests.
Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a luxury hotel or upscale bar.

Strong knowledge of cocktails, mixology, and beverage preparation.

Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Professional appearance and adherence to W Hotels’ grooming standards.

Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management is preferred.
