Bell Captain – Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort is a key leadership role in the Front Office and Guest Services team. The Bell Captain leads the bell staff, ensuring seamless arrivals, departures, and luggage handling, while maintaining Sheraton’s high standards of luxury hospitality. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional guest service skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
As a Bell Captain, you will be responsible for supervising the bell team, monitoring service quality, and ensuring that every guest interaction reflects the professionalism and excellence expected at Sheraton Abu Dhabi.
About the Role
The Bell Captain oversees all bell operations, including luggage handling, guest escorting, package delivery, and coordination with Front Desk, Concierge, and Valet teams. You will ensure that every guest experiences smooth and efficient service from arrival to departure.
This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who can train, motivate, and supervise bell staff while maintaining operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Supervision

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the bell team, ensuring excellent service delivery.

Train, coach, and mentor bell staff on Sheraton standards, operational procedures, and guest service excellence.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Schedule bell staff to meet operational needs, ensuring adequate coverage during peak and off-peak periods.

Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment within the department.
Guest Service Excellence

Assist guests with luggage during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.

Escort guests to their rooms, providing a warm welcome and highlighting hotel facilities.

Respond promptly to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring maximum satisfaction.

Provide concierge support, including directions, local recommendations, and service coordination.

Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and public areas, proactively offering assistance.
Operational Duties

Ensure smooth coordination between bell staff, Front Desk, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Valet teams.

Maintain accurate records of luggage handling, package delivery, and guest requests.

Monitor bell staff adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.

Conduct inspections of storage areas, lobby, and bell stations to ensure organization and cleanliness.

Assist during peak periods or special events to ensure seamless service delivery.
Safety & Compliance

Ensure safe handling of luggage, packages, and equipment at all times.

Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns promptly.

Follow Sheraton and Marriott safety protocols and operational standards.

Ensure compliance with hotel policies regarding guest interaction, service, and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in a bellman or bell captain role in a luxury hotel.

Strong leadership, coaching, and supervisory skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional appearance and demeanor in line with Sheraton standards.

Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Ability to lift, carry, and transport luggage safely.

Knowledge of hotel operations and Front Office coordination.

Proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
