Hotel Cleanliness Expert

Courtyard by Marriott Kuwait City is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Cleanliness Expert to join our housekeeping and quality assurance team. In this role, you will ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and service areas adhere to Courtyard by Marriott’s high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, passion for quality, and commitment to delivering a polished guest experience in a thriving hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Quality Assurance

• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house zones to ensure cleaning standards are consistently met.

• Identify and address deficiencies in cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation.

• Work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors and Room Attendants to correct cleaning issues and uphold Marriott brand standards.

• Ensure that all cleaning products, tools, and equipment are used safely and according to hotel policies.

• Maintain cleanliness checklists and report findings clearly and accurately.

• Assist in training and coaching housekeeping team members on best practices and quality expectations.

Guest Experience & Support

• Respond professionally and promptly to guest cleanliness concerns or requests.

• Escort guests when required to resolve room cleanliness issues.

• Follow up on guest feedback to ensure issues are resolved to guest satisfaction.

• Support front desk and guest relations teams by verifying room readiness and cleanliness prior to check-in.

• Demonstrate exceptional guest service in every interaction, exceeding expectations whenever possible.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate inspection findings effectively with supervisors and department leaders.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Front Office, and other departments to address maintenance issues affecting cleanliness or appearance.

• Participate in daily briefings and shift handovers.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, corrective actions, and housekeeping performance metrics.

Operational Standards & Safety

• Ensure compliance with Marriott’s brand cleanliness standards and hotel operating procedures.

• Monitor and report any safety or sanitation hazards immediately.

• Support deep cleaning initiatives, special projects, and periodic audits.

• Maintain proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Assist with inventory control of housekeeping supplies and linens.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, quality assurance, or related hospitality role preferred.

• Strong attention to detail with a passion for maintaining high standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to walk, bend, and stand for prolonged periods.

• Professional attitude, organized work style, and team-oriented approach.

• Basic English proficiency required; additional languages are an advantage.

• Experience with hotel inspection tools or technology is a plus.
