Income Auditor – Downtown Rotana Manama Bahrain

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to join our Finance team at Downtown Rotana Manama Bahrain. The Income Auditor will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and reconciling daily financial transactions, including room revenue, food & beverage revenue, and other hotel income streams. The successful candidate will ensure that all financial records are accurate, properly posted, and compliant with hotel procedures and accounting standards.

This role is critical in providing management with timely and reliable financial information to support decision-making and business performance evaluation.


Income Auditor – Job Summary

As an Income Auditor – Hotel / Resort, you will perform daily audits of revenue, deposits, and postings from various departments. You will reconcile accounts, verify billing accuracy, and prepare detailed reports for management. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following strict timelines.

The Income Auditor will also collaborate with front office, food & beverage, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain the integrity of hotel financial records.


Key Responsibilities – Income Auditor – Hotel / Resort

  1. Review and audit daily revenue from all outlets including rooms, F&B, spa, and other services.

  2. Reconcile cash, credit card, and direct billing transactions to ensure accuracy.

  3. Verify guest folios and billing to ensure compliance with hotel policies.

  4. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and variance reports for management.

  5. Post adjustments, corrections, and journal entries to the general ledger as required.

  6. Monitor night audit reports and follow up on discrepancies or anomalies.

  7. Coordinate with Front Office and F&B departments to resolve revenue and posting issues.

  8. Ensure all cash handling, deposit, and banking procedures comply with hotel SOPs.

  9. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing procedures.

  10. Maintain accurate records of audit findings, adjustments, and supporting documentation.

  11. Participate in audits conducted by internal and external auditors.

  12. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, hotel policies, and regulatory requirements.

  13. Support revenue management initiatives by providing accurate and timely income reports.

  14. Maintain confidentiality of financial and guest information at all times.

  15. Continuously improve audit procedures and workflow to enhance accuracy and efficiency.


Skills and Requirements – Income Auditor

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as an Income Auditor or similar finance role in the hospitality industry.

  • Strong understanding of hotel accounting systems and POS systems (Opera, Micros, or similar).

  • Knowledge of financial statements, revenue reconciliation, and audit procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
