Job Summary

As a Chef de Partie Al Ain Rotana, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food preparation across all sections. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, preparing mise-en-place, supervising junior kitchen staff, and ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene.

Your role involves not only cooking but also mentoring, planning, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and capable of working in a fast-paced hotel environment while maintaining calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily mise-en-place and food production in different kitchen sections.

  • Assist in planning and organizing tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Follow instructions from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to meet quality standards.

  • Maintain high-quality food presentation and ensure dishes meet hotel culinary standards.

  • Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.

  • Actively participate in buffet setup, banquet functions, and special culinary events.

  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, wastage, and inventory effectively.

  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections to maintain efficiency and cleanliness.

  • Stay updated on new recipes, culinary trends, and modern cooking techniques.

  • Train and motivate kitchen team members to ensure a productive and professional work environment.

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and last-minute event requirements.
