As AV Technician – Mövenpick Kuwait Al Bidaa, you will be the technical backbone behind meetings, conferences, and entertainment events. Your responsibility includes setting up audio systems, projectors, LED screens, microphones, lighting controls, and video conferencing equipment. Key Responsibilities – AV Technician – Movenpick Kuwait Al Bidaa

  • Install, test, and operate audio-visual equipment for conferences, meetings, weddings, and special events.

  • Configure microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, and digital sound systems.

  • Set up and calibrate projectors, LED walls, presentation screens, and video conferencing tools.

  • Conduct pre-event system checks to ensure optimal sound and image quality.

  • Provide on-site technical support during events to quickly resolve any issues.

  • Coordinate with the Banquet, Sales, and Events teams to understand event requirements.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems, stage setups, and control panels.

  • Monitor equipment inventory and recommend upgrades or replacements when needed.

  • Ensure safe handling and storage of cables, connectors, and technical devices.

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and hotel operational procedures.

  • Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and service reports.

Candidate Requirements – AV Technician – Movenpick Kuwait Al Bidaa

  • Diploma or certification in Audio-Visual Technology, Electronics, IT, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in AV operations within hotels, event venues, or conference centers.

  • Strong understanding of sound systems, lighting controls, and multimedia equipment.

  • Experience with digital mixing consoles, video switchers, and conferencing platforms.

  • Ability to read technical diagrams and wiring layouts.

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during events.

  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with event planners and clients.

  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
