Role Overview

As Front Office Receptionist – ibis Kuwait Salmiya, you will manage daily front desk operations, handle reservations, process payments, and address guest requests with accuracy and warmth. Main Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests professionally and complete check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.

  • Verify reservations, assign rooms, and provide clear information regarding hotel facilities and services.

  • Handle room bookings, modifications, cancellations, and walk-in inquiries.

  • Process payments, manage cash transactions, and balance shift reports accurately.

  • Respond to guest questions regarding local attractions, transportation, and hotel amenities.

  • Address concerns or service issues promptly and escalate when necessary.

  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness and accurate status updates.

  • Maintain updated records in the Property Management System (PMS).

  • Ensure lobby presentation standards are consistently maintained.

  • Support upselling initiatives to enhance revenue through room upgrades and additional services.

  • Follow security procedures to safeguard guest information and hotel assets.

Candidate Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or Business Administration preferred.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in front office or guest service within a hotel environment.

  • Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and PMS platforms.

  • Strong numerical ability for handling billing and payments.

  • Professional appearance and courteous demeanor.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly beneficial.

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
