Director of Human Resources

Jumeirah Messilah Beach is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead its HR function and drive organizational excellence at this luxury beachfront resort. Key Responsibilities: Director of Human Resources

• Lead and empower the HR team, embedding best-practice standards and building capability to strengthen organizational performance.

• Develop and implement the full HR strategy in alignment with Jumeirah’s corporate and regional objectives, ensuring measurable outcomes across the property.

• Oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee development programs to attract and retain top talent.

• Drive colleague engagement initiatives, performance management, and recognition programs to foster a cohesive and motivated workplace culture.

• Manage organizational design, HR budgeting, and capital planning with financial discipline to support operational agility.

• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and corporate HR standards while mitigating organizational risks.

• Develop and implement national talent development programs, internship initiatives, and leadership pipelines.

• Enhance cross-functional collaboration by providing HR guidance to departmental heads and senior leadership.

• Oversee internal communications, ensuring timely, brand-aligned messaging that maintains transparency and consistency across all levels.

• Lead HR analytics, reporting, and insights to support strategic decision-making and improve overall employee experience.

• Monitor and improve HR processes, systems, and policies to optimize efficiency, service delivery, and colleague satisfaction.

• Conduct regular training and coaching sessions for managers and employees to strengthen leadership and operational effectiveness.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing strategic guidance on workforce-related matters, cultural initiatives, and change management.

• Facilitate a positive workplace culture that aligns with Jumeirah’s values, mission, and luxury service standards.

• Stay updated on global HR trends, employment law, and hospitality industry best practices to ensure the property remains competitive and compliant.

Qualifications & Experience – Director of Human Resources 

• 10–12 years of progressive HR experience within luxury hospitality, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Strong expertise in HR strategy, talent management, organizational design, and employee engagement.

• Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive performance improvement initiatives.

• Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multicultural teams.

• Solid understanding of labor legislation, compliance, and HR best practices within the hospitality industry.

• Proficiency in HR systems, reporting, and analytics tools is highly desirable.
