Job Summary: F&B Server – In Room Dining

As an F&B Server – In Room Dining, you will be responsible for providing guests with seamless, high-quality in-room dining experiences. This includes taking orders, delivering meals and beverages, setting up trays, and ensuring that all guest requests are handled promptly and professionally.

You will work closely with the kitchen team, front desk, and other F&B outlets to coordinate orders efficiently and maintain a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to exceeding guest expectations.


Key Responsibilities of F&B Server – In Room Dining

  • Greet guests politely and professionally, ensuring a warm and welcoming in-room dining experience.

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and ensure timely and precise delivery.

  • Set up trays, including all necessary condiments, cutlery, and presentation items, according to hotel standards.

  • Serve and clear food and beverages efficiently while maintaining discretion and professionalism.

  • Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service, including refills, additional items, and special requests.

  • Coordinate with the kitchen team and other F&B outlets to ensure smooth delivery and adherence to service standards.

  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer guest queries accurately.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests, and escalate complaints to supervisors if necessary.

  • Adhere to hygiene, safety, and HACCP guidelines at all times.

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including tray setup, inventory checks, and cleaning.

  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS system operations efficiently.

  • Support banquet or private dining services when needed.

  • Attend training sessions, team meetings, and briefings to stay updated on menus, promotions, and service protocols.

  • Assist with room service-related events and VIP guest arrangements.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in in-room dining or food and beverage service within a five-star hotel.

  • Strong communication and guest service skills.

  • Ability to work in a multicultural, high-volume environment.

  • Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and billing procedures.

  • Understanding of food hygiene, safety standards, and HACCP compliance.

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
