About the Role
The Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining safety and order at swimming pools, beaches, or waterparks, observing guests, and enforcing rules to prevent accidents. You will provide immediate assistance during emergencies, administer first aid or CPR when necessary, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
This position requires attentiveness, strong communication skills, and the ability to act calmly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Safety & Surveillance

Monitor swimming pools, beaches, and other aquatic facilities to ensure guest safety.

Enforce safety rules and regulations, preventing risky behaviors and unsafe activities.

Conduct regular inspections of swimming areas and equipment to identify hazards.

Respond immediately to emergencies, providing rescue or first aid as required.

Ensure guests follow proper use of water facilities, flotation devices, and safety equipment.
Emergency Response & First Aid

Administer CPR, first aid, and other emergency procedures when needed.

Alert medical teams or emergency services in case of serious incidents.

Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, and rescues.

Participate in regular safety drills and emergency preparedness training.
Operational Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization of lifeguard stations, pool decks, and surrounding areas.

Inspect and maintain safety equipment, including rescue tubes, life jackets, and AED devices.

Assist with guest inquiries regarding pool, beach, or waterpark rules.

Coordinate with management, security, and other departments to ensure a safe environment.
Teamwork & Professionalism

Work closely with other lifeguards, supervisors, and hotel or resort staff.

Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor with guests at all times.

Attend team briefings and participate in continuous training programs.

Uphold the reputation of the hotel, resort, or facility by providing excellent service and maintaining high safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel, resort, or public aquatic facility.

Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED (mandatory).

Excellent swimming and rescue skills.

Strong communication and observational skills.

Ability to respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.

Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
