Maison / Plumber – Velero Hotel Doha Lusail

The Maison / Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all plumbing systems within the hotel to ensure smooth operations, guest comfort, safety, and compliance with hotel and local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing & Maintenance

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, drainage, and sanitary systems.

• Attend to guest room plumbing complaints such as leaks, blocked drains, faulty faucets, showers, toilets, and water pressure issues.

• Carry out preventive maintenance as per the hotel’s engineering schedule.

• Inspect plumbing systems regularly to identify issues before they escalate.

• Repair or replace damaged plumbing components efficiently and safely.

Water Systems

• Maintain hot and cold water supply systems, including water tanks, pumps, and heaters.

• Ensure proper functioning of sewage, drainage, and waste systems.

• Monitor water consumption and report abnormal usage or leaks.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow hotel safety standards, SOPs, and local authority regulations at all times.

• Ensure plumbing works comply with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

• Use tools, chemicals, and equipment safely and correctly.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with other engineering team members and departments for maintenance work.

• Update work orders and maintenance logs accurately.

• Report major faults or system failures to the Duty Engineer or Chief Engineer immediately.

Guest Service

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints related to plumbing.

• Maintain a courteous and service-oriented attitude when working in guest areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Plumbing or relevant technical certification.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a plumber, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

• Knowledge of hotel plumbing systems, pumps, heaters, and drainage systems.
