The Sales Manager – Corporate & Government at Mercure Dubai Hotel plays a key role in driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients and government entities. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing, this position focuses on building the hotel’s market share, creating effective sales strategies, and delivering exceptional guest experiences that reflect the Mercure brand values of French elegance and hospitality.

Located along Sheikh Zayed Road in Barsha Heights, Mercure Dubai Hotel is in the heart of Dubai’s business and commercial district, close to Dubai Internet City, Knowledge Park, and major attractions such as Mall of the Emirates and Palm Jumeirah. The hotel offers 1015 contemporary suites and apartments across 41 floors, along with extensive multi-functional meeting and event spaces.


Key Responsibilities – Sales Manager Corporate & Government

The Sales Manager – Corporate & Government is responsible for developing corporate and government accounts while ensuring the hotel’s sales objectives are met. Key duties include:

Business Development & Account Management

  • Build and grow corporate and government segment base for the hotel.

  • Create awareness of hotel facilities and services among potential clients.

  • Shift market share from competitors, focusing on the group segment.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account data and reports.

  • Develop contracts, manage correspondence, and proactively offer customer solutions.

Client Relations & Communication

  • Work closely with the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Revenue Team, and Finance to identify opportunities and strategies.

  • Establish clear expectations for clients throughout the sales process.

  • Participate in guest satisfaction review sessions and implement improvements based on feedback.

  • Develop loyalty and awareness through site visits, presentations, and familiarization trips.

  • Maintain relationships with local convention bureaus and tourism boards.

Sales Operations & Strategy Execution

  • Handle incoming government and corporate inquiries related to assigned accounts.

  • Implement and execute sales objectives and action plans to reach or exceed targets.

  • Prepare offer letters and proposals in accordance with company standards and client requirements.

  • Maximize upselling opportunities by proposing complementary services to clients.

  • Support Supervisors in maintaining account files and the account management system.

Training & Talent Management

  • Promote a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and victimization.

  • Ensure cultural sensitivity and address cross-cultural misunderstandings.

  • Support staff development by setting a positive example in guest relations.

Health, Safety & Confidentiality

  • Adhere to all health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures.

  • Ensure staff work in a safe manner and follow Accor’s health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all hotel, customer, and staff information.


Qualifications & Skills Required

To excel as a Sales Manager – Corporate & Government, candidates should ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in corporate and government sales, preferably in hotels or luxury hospitality.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies independently.

  • Knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and revenue management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
