Team Leader, Uniform Room, One & Only One Za’abeel Dubai

About The Role

  • To have knowledge of One&Only Operating Standards and Procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of Laundry and Uniform room operations, equipment, chemicals, and fabric handling.
  • Assist the Assistant Laundry Manager and Laundry Manager to maintain the Uniform room and uniform handling for all Hotel colleagues.
  • Maintain the best possible standards and organization when handling colleagues’ uniforms and guest garments.
  • To always provide colleagues with well- maintained and spotless uniforms.
  • Ensure colleagues are professional and willing, dedicated and show initiative to learn, practice and demonstrate One&Only Standards.
  • Conduct quality training to all Uniform Room and Laundry colleague on a regular basis, ensuring that all colleagues are aware of how to correctly use the equipment, processes, and standards.
  • Promote a professional, and highly motivated team and encourage teamwork.
  • Work accordingly to company and Hotel standards and ensure that spot checks are carried out on a regular basis to ensure that standards are consistent.
  • Ensure that Uniforms and garments are sorted before sending to the Laundry.
  • Track and organize all Uniforms for colleagues on-boarding and off boarding.
  • Liaise with uniform suppliers.
  • Check deliveries of Uniforms.
  • Monitor quality of fabrics and recommend changes to maximize the lifespan of uniforms.
  • Assist the Laundry Manager and Assistant Laundry Manager to analyze monthly reports and propose budget.
  • Conduct inventories on a regular basis for all Hotel linens, amenities, OS&E and prepare reports for submission to the Executive Housekeeper and Finance Department.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all areas in the Hotel and following up on grooming.
  • Ensure high level of hygiene and safety within the Laundry and Uniform room.
  • Ensure all Uniforms and supplies are safely stored and correctly used.
  • Assist with maintaining Uniform room records accurately, and ensure they are always kept up to date.
  • Monitor all projects that are set and ensure that timelines are adhered to.
  • Assist in new colleague job skill training as and when requested by the superiors.
  • Ensure that the task provided daily are executed to the expectation of O&O One Zaabeel standard.
  • Organize and participate in department meeting, trainings, and events.
  • Assist in other tasks in the department & Hotel when requested by Assistant Manager or Manager
  • Conduct daily motivational briefings.

About You

  • Must hold a Diploma in Hospitality or (Be Fluent in Spoken & Written English, any other foreign language is a plus factor)
  • Must be skilled to perform the job of Team Leader, Laundry & Uniform room.
  • Must have the basic Knowledge of Laundry Operation & Housekeeping and has worked as Housekeeping /Laundry Team Leader or a period of minimum 2 years in a five-star Hotel.
  • Must have minimum 2 years as a supervisor.
