The Waiter / Waitress is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests in the restaurant, bar, or banquet areas, ensuring an exceptional dining experience in line with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service

Welcome and greet guests warmly, presenting menus and specials.

Take accurate food and beverage orders and serve them promptly.

Provide recommendations on menu items, daily specials, and beverages.

Attend to guest requests and resolve complaints professionally and politely.
Food & Beverage Service
-
Serve food and beverages according to hotel SOPs and hygiene standards.

Set, clear, and reset tables in accordance with outlet standards.

Ensure proper handling of cutlery, crockery, and glassware.

Assist in room service, banquets, or special events as required.
Hygiene & Safety
-
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel operational policies.

Maintain a clean and organized service area.
Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and other F&B team members for smooth service.

Report any guest complaints, damages, or incidents to the supervisor.

Maintain accurate bills and process guest payments when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Minimum secondary education; hospitality training is an advantage.
-
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, restaurant, or fine dining outlet is preferred.

Knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards.
